OCA Free Medical Clinic (with Chinese language interpretation) at UPMC Montefiore Hospital, October 12.



The Pittsburgh branch of the OCA, formerly known as the Organization of Chinese Americans, is hosting a free medical clinic at UPMC Montefiore Hospital in Oakland (map) on Monday, October 12. According to the event's Facebook page: "The OCA Free Medical Clinic is a screening clinic. We provide free medical consultation and Chinese language interpretation."

Services (Screening Clinic):
The OCA Free Medical Clinic is a screening clinic. We provide free medical consultation and Chinese language interpretation. We provide free testing for high blood pressure, eye examinations by ophthalmologists, dental evaluations with advice for dental care by dentists, etc. We also provide free laboratory testing for cholesterol, liver function tests, kidney function tests, anemia, diabetes, etc. Gynecologists will provide clinical breast exams and Pap smears to screen for cervical cancer. We do NOT provide long term care for chronic medical problems. However, we can provide referral information to Chinese-speaking physicians in various specialties. All patients will be screened and educated for Hypertension.

Pre-Registration:
Please pre-register to minimize waiting time. Those patients who wish to see an Ear, Nose, & Throat specialist or Podiatry (foot doctor) specialist must pre-register. Priority will be given to those who have pre-registered. If you do not pre-register, please arrive 30 minutes before the appointed time to register and fill out required forms.
